Rumors, Slander, And Legal Issues
I'll
keep this short, because I've been working all night and need to sleep.
I will be posting a lot more about this tomorrow, as well as address some
other Tampa indie film issues.
At this point, I am sick of people making up things about me in an attempt
to smear my name. Not only do I have people stealing from my web sites
and slandering me, but now there are reports of these idiots telling people
who I don't know things that I supposedly said about them in an attempt
to freak them out and incite them to take action against me. This is going
to stop. This is not High School. Some of you belong in high School. A
lot of this is being blown out of proportion, and certain people are opening
themselves up to serious liability (and I am not referring to myself,
as I don't slander anyone or do anything wrong).
Just because I tell it how it is and offend people with my opinions and
the truth does not mean that I am out to destroy the competition or that
I have an axe to grind against certain people. That is not the case. I
really don't have much against anyone, although I am annoyed by those
who violate my rights.
I already have one big slander lawsuit in the works. Do I have to prepare
more? Do I have to start suing people now? Let's not let it get to that
point. If I sue anyone, they are now warned, and will take heed. If I
drag them into court, their lies will be exposed for everyone to see,
and it will destroy what little credibility that they have. I am a fair,
professional person. This said, I am the last person who anyone wants
to trash.
Tomorrow, I will have a good size post where I will attempt to clarify
some things. And Joe, I don't hate you or have anything against you. Whomever
riled you up told you things that I never said. They lied.
You will know them by their fruit. Can you trust anyone who's actions
betray their words?
